The basic function of the Quality Assurance Label Inspector is to ensure the functions in the Responsibilities section are performed in an effective manner.


  • Inspection of labels & packages prior to shipping

  • Production area clearances

  • GMP & SOP procedures

Experience/Job Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Well organized
  • Must possess a high level of energy
  • Able to communicate well with others
  • Accuracy in checking and recording
  • cGMP experience preferred
  • Math: Must be able to add, multiply, divide, subtract and handle measurements
  • Language: Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing to interact with customers and co-workers
  • Spatial: Must have excellent eyesight, hearing, and depth perception


  • Specific label inspection training is given for the first thirty days but not limited to those thirty days.
  • Ongoing GMP training will be part of the Quality Assurance program
  • Ongoing SOP training will be conducted as needed
  • All training seminars are to be documented and signed by instructor and attendees
  • All new procedures will have a formal training session prior to being utilized by Citation Clinical Labeling Systems

Responsibilities – Include but not limited to:

  • Reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, Inspection
  • Directly responsible for inspecting clinical labels for any defects
  • Area clearances for production; integration and label inspection
  • Record all label reprints and prepare replacement label documentation
  • Each inspector will be required to complete a set amount of labels based on targets previously determined for his/her own work and is required to report any/all errors to the
  • Quality Assurance Manager
  • Perform Quality Assurance on 100% of all orders
  • Inspect all packages prior to shipping
  • Prepare packing slips and C of Cs
  • Ensure all appropriate documents are correct and signed off on
  • Ensure all counts are 100% accurate
  • Prepare destruction forms on aged customer stock
  • Train all current and new employees as directed
  • Interface with all other departments to ensure all work is being completed in concert with overall company goals
  • It will be the responsibility of the employee to carry out GMP and SOP procedures with the day-to-day operations at Citation Clinical Labeling Systems
  • Perform any additional tasks needed to assist Citation Clinical Labeling Systems with day to day operation

Measures of Performance

  • All orders are inspected on time and properly executed
  • All procedures are being followed
  • Errors in the work are held to an acceptable level
