POSITION SUMMARY

The basic function of the Computer Print Operator is to ensure that Clinical Labeling jobs are produced in an efficient manner.

Experience/Job Requirements

  • High School or General Education Degree, college a plus
  • cGMP experience preferred
  • Experience in working with computers and a wide variety of software programs such as MS Office, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • The abilities to compute business math formulas and to enter financial data and other information into the PC software
  • Have the ability to compose letters and memos as directed
  • Math: Must be able to comprehend and perform business math calculations necessary to accurately process Labeling Orders
  • Language: Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing to interact with customers and co-workers
  • Mechanical: Able to operate all office equipment
  • Spatial: Must have excellent eyesight, hearing, and depth perception

Training

  • Specific training is given for the first thirty days but not limited to those thirty days
  • Ongoing GMP training
  • Ongoing SOP training will be conducted as needed
  • All training seminars are to be documented and signed by instructor and attendees
  • All new procedures will have a formal training session prior to being utilized by Citation Clinical Labeling Systems

Responsibilities – Include but not limited to:

  • Reports directly to and is fully accountable to the Label Control Manager/Supervisor
  • Complete as directed and in an accurate and timely manner all work assignments; perform the work as per the scheduled hours, and make the most effective use of their time and talent
  • Perform a wide variety of duties involving a general knowledge of computers and software programs
  • Maintain in good order all records and files and the safekeeping of all company records, including computer information
  • Review and identify client needs based on interpretation of incoming e-mails
  • Communicate with Quality Assurance Department in relation to customer complaints as needed
  • Check inventory, i.e. labels and ribbons
  • Coordinate job ticket paperwork, in regards to batch folder file placement
  • Prepare orders for processing
  • Scan proofs, e-mail, and faxes as needed
  • Prepare accountability forms
  • Prepare artwork for printing press
  • Convert documents from different software programs to Label View
  • Set label proofs according to need
  • Run labels and complete production
  • Type package ID’s
  • Perform any other duty or task as assigned from time to time, on an as-needed basis

Measures of Performance

  • All orders are provided to the company on time and properly executed
  • All departmental operating procedures are being followed
  • Errors in the work are held to an acceptable level
  • Keeping the Label Control Manager advised of any important issues that the Computer Print Operator is responsible for
